Junior Cricket Gear Guide India
For junior players, correct fit matters more than buying oversized equipment to grow into. Smaller, controllable gear helps technique, comfort and confidence.
Bat sizing
Use the player’s current height rather than age alone. Junior bat sizes normally progress through Size 0–6 and Harrow before adult Short Handle.
Gloves and pads
Measure hand length and kneecap-to-instep length. Pads should align with the kneecap in stance and gloves should not bunch through the palm.
Helmet fit
Measure head circumference and choose a helmet that stays level and secure. Do not buy an adult helmet simply for future growth if it does not fit now.
What to upgrade first
Upgrade fit-critical items first: bat, gloves, pads, helmet and shoes. Bags and accessories can be selected around the player’s actual training load.
Shop and compare
Use this guide as a practical starting point and always check the exact product specification, size chart and intended use before ordering.
